What We Believe

The Bible is the infallible, authoritative, inspired Word of God (II Tim. 3:15-17, Heb 4:12)

One God that is manifested in three (3) persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is manifested as Father in Creation, Son in Redemption and the Indwelling Holy Spirit (I Cor. 8:6, II Cor. 5:19, Rom. 8:11)

Salvation comes by grace through faith, not by works. All humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature and can only be saved by the grace of God by faith in atonement and bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and not by human effort or merit (Eph 2:8-9, Rom. 10:9-10, Titus 3:5-6, John 1:12-13).

Water Baptism by immersion. The ordinance of baptism in water symbolizing being buried with Christ should be observed as commanded by all that have repented and truly believed in the hearts that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord. For the believer, baptism symbolizes his death to sin and his resurrection into the newness of life. Baptism also serves as a public confession of  a believers conversion and salvation through Jesus Christ (Matt. 3:16-17, Acts 2:34-38, Acts 19:1-6)

In the celebration of the Lord’s Supper (communion) by all believers. (1 Cor. 11:24, 25, 28)

Living a Spirit led life as expressing the true Christian faith (Eph. 5:1-21, II Cor. 6:14)

Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the full operation in the church. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is sent to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. He (Holy Spirit), convicts of sin, draws, enlightens, indwells, guides, teaches, comforts and empowers the believer…to know the Lord and to grow and glorify him (Jesus Christ).  (I Cor. 12). Every believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit. This was the experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the endowment of power for life and service, the giving of gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. The initial physical evidence of this infilling is speaking with other tongues along with a consistent surrender and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 2,4,8,9,10 &19)

The Lord is coming back again for a Holy Church. We believe that Jesus Christ will return and establish his Kingdom in the earth. (Eph. 5:27, I Thess. 4:13-18)

In the reality of the devil, called Satan who along with his angels, called demons or evil spirits, are destined to spend eternity in hell and now seek to deceive the world, defeat the believers and destroy the work of God: but can be resisted by believers, who are protected by God and the intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matt. 25:41, Rev. 19:20, 20:14, 15)

That there is one true universal Church (the body of Christ), made up of genuine believers, and composed of many local Churches in given localities under the sovereign Headship of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every believer is an integral part of the general assembly and church. The local church is an expression of what God is saying and doing universally. (Acts 15:22; I Tim. 3:15, Matthew 16:18; 18:15-20)
